I just returned from the 25th annual Seattle Study Club Symposium at the beautiful La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California, and I left invigorated and stimulated by the outstanding programs presented by some of the top educators from around the globe. It's always a first-class meeting, from the lecturers to the entertainment, and I never miss it. Congratulations to the Seattle Study Club on its first 25 years.
This month's issue is packed with useful information. Our cover story by Jason Mazda offers insight into the world of digital dentures, an emerging technology that is not well understood by most clinicians. This article does an excellent job of describing the current state, key considerations, and future of digital dentures.
The CE article about sleep dentistry by DeWitt Wilkerson, DMD, is quite interesting from a pediatric and adolescent viewpoint. I was able to gain a considerable amount of knowledge from it. Additionally, Ramzi V. Abou-Arraj, DDS, MS, and Hussein S. Basma, DDS, provide an exceptional overview of peri-implant disease—a hot topic right now. In addition, there's great information in the article by Salvatore Lotardo, DDS, AAACD, which addresses multidisciplinary treatment for congenitally missing teeth.
If you are attending the Midwinter Meeting, please stop by the AEGIS Dental Network booth (No. 835) and let us know what you think!
