Rolando Nunez, DDS, MSc
I earned my dental degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 1997. After a few years, I completed a graduate program in biomaterials at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and then later joined BISCO Dental Products in 2005 as a private clinical consultant. In that position, I worked closely with the research and development department in the development of new and innovative products, which ignited my passion for product evaluation. In 2014, I became the manager of clinical affairs for BISCO, Inc. For the past 10 years, I have also maintained a private practice focusing on esthetic and restorative dentistry. I started using TheraCal LC® as soon as it was released into the market, mainly as a liner for deep preparations. It was a game changer for my office.
1. TheraCal LC® is a light-cured, resin-modified calcium silicate. Its unique apatite stimulating ability makes it ideal for direct and indirect pulp capping and as a protective liner. 2. TheraCal PT™ is a biocompatible, dual-cured, resin-modified calcium silicate designed for pulpotomy treatment. 3. Delivering a strong bond to zirconia and most substrates, as well as easy cleanup and high radiopacity, TheraCem® offers clinicians effortless, reliable, and durable cementation of indirect restorations.
