Ryan Sellinger, DMD
I maintain a private practice in New York City, and I also teach prosthodontics at the New York University College of Dentistry and lecture on esthetic dentistry. My passion for dentistry began in 1999 and continues to grow as the years pass. I enjoy keeping up with advances in dental technology and materials because these evolutions in the industry help us deliver the best care possible to our patients. Recently, my Dentsply Sirona representative introduced me to Hemoban™ Gel. Because I perform many procedures that require effective hemostasis, such as crown preparations, veneer preparations, and Class V restorations, I was excited to try this
new product.
1. Viscous yet spreadable gel stays put to further enhance lasting hemostasis. 2. Hemoban Gel solution provides quick hemostasis through its 25% aluminum chloride formulation. 3. After the upper cord is removed and the Hemoban Gel solution is rinsed with an air/water spray, the sulcus remains clear, creating an ideal field for the final impression.
What is the best feature?
Hemoban Gel stays where I place it. Other materials tend to run, which can require a second application or additional cleanup time.
How are the results?
The results are better than I expected. I've used many hemostatic products over the years, and the efficacy of Hemoban Gel is fantastic.
Is the material reliable?
I've found that this product gets the job done and is extremely consistent. The hemostatic results that I've seen are second to none.
