Excellent dentistry results from a combination of using quality materials and evidence-based techniques. Materials that you can count on are an integral part of success in our discipline. As busy clinicians, we do not have time for unreliable materials. I made the switch to Kuraray Noritake products 5 years ago, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The research that they conduct on their products ensures that the materials are effective and safe.
More than 12 years ago, I learned how to bond restorations at my practice because I knew that this procedure would provide excellent long-term clinical success for my patients. Today, I use the KATANA™ Zirconia STML (super translucent multi layered) because the multilayered material provides lifelike esthetics when milling in-office restorations for same-day dentistry. When KATANA™ Cleaner was released, I knew it would easily fit into my workflow and create even stronger bonds for my restorations. During the trial fitting process, saliva and/or blood can contaminate the crown, reducing the bond strength that is ultimately achieved during adhesion. Therefore, applying a cleaner like KATANA Cleaner to the restoration's contaminated intaglio surfaces helps maximize the bond strength of the restoration. What makes this cleaner great for my practice is that it can be used not only extraorally on prosthetics but also intraorally on dental cavity preparations, abutments, or in root canals. The universality of the cleaner reduces the number of steps required and streamlines procedures.
Handling-wise, KATANA Cleaner has been formulated to only require 10 seconds of rubbing, which is less time than other products. Along with being more efficient, which is true of all of the other Kuraray Noritake products that I utilize, the KATANA Cleaner is easy to use, expediting patient care and enhancing clinical outcomes. Since switching to Kuraray Noritake products years ago, I've only had wonderful experiences; they are a company that I trust because they are focused on developing quality products that move the dental industry forward. They do exceptional research and testing so that I can focus on my dentistry.
1. Restores the potential for maximum bond strength after the restoration has been contaminated with saliva and blood in the oral cavity
2. Unlike other cleaners that require a longer rubbing time, KATANA Cleaner only requires 10 seconds
3. Due to its pH value of 4.5, KATANA Cleaner can be used not only extraorally but also intraorally
4. KATANA Cleaner has an optimal cleaning effect due to the surface active characteristic of 10-methacryloyloxdecyl dihydrogen phosphate (MDP) salt
