Amanda N. Seay, DDS, FAACD, was inaugurated as president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) on March 13, 2025, during the organization’s Annual Member Meeting.
A member of the AACD since 2002, Dr Seay earned AACD Accreditation in 2014 and became an Accredited Fellow in 2019. She maintains a full-time private practice in Charleston, South Carolina, with a focus on comprehensive restorative dentistry, and serves as a Clinical Instructor at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.
Dr Seay is affiliated with multiple professional dental organizations, including the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. She is also a fellow of the American Society of Dental Aesthetics.
Her professional recognitions include being named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry by Dental Products Report in 2012, receiving the Lucy Hobbs Project award in 2015, and being listed among the 32 Most Influential People in Dentistry in 2021 and 2022. She currently serves as the restorative editor for Inside Dentistry and is one of three national directors for the Seattle Study Club.
The AACD is an international association of approximately 3000 dental professionals. According to the organization, it is dedicated to advancing excellence in cosmetic dentistry and promoting ethical and responsible patient care.
