ZimVie Inc., a dental implant and medical technology company based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, has announced the U.S. release of its Immediate Molar Implant System. The new product is designed to address the specific challenges associated with immediate molar replacement.
According to the company, the Immediate Molar Implant System expands ZimVie’s TSX® and T3 PRO® Implant platforms by incorporating a solution specifically for immediate placement in molar sites. The system includes instrumentation that is engineered to simplify site preparation following molar extraction, providing greater control and procedural predictability in multi-rooted sockets.
The system features wide-diameter implants intended to provide primary stability within the molar socket. According to ZimVie, the implants also incorporate its proprietary DAE coronal surface technology, which is designed to reduce the risk of peri-implantitis by up to 20%. The implants are compatible with ZimVie’s existing restorative components, which may minimize costs for practices already using the company’s platform.
ZimVie states that traditional treatment protocols typically require a healing period after molar extraction before implant placement. The Immediate Molar Implant System is designed to allow for restoration in approximately half the time compared to conventional approaches.
“The launch of our Immediate Molar Dental Implant System marks a significant milestone in our commitment to advancing dental technology,” said ZimVie CEO Vafa Jamali. “We have expanded the offering of our implant systems to address the unique challenges of molar tooth restoration and provide patients shorter and more cost-effective treatment while delivering a more predictable, lasting outcome.”
ZimVie’s Immediate Molar Implant System is now available in the United States. More information is available at www.zimvie.com.
