Andau Medical has announced the North American release of the Ergo V and Ergo V Pro loupes, a new type of dental loupe that features adjustable multi-magnification capabilities. Designed and manufactured by Admetec, the devices are being distributed in North America by Andau Medical.
According to the company, the Ergo V and Ergo V Pro are the first ergonomic loupes to offer three built-in magnification settings, allowing dental professionals to switch between magnification levels during procedures without changing equipment.
The company states that traditional multi-magnification loupes have often been heavier, bulkier, and more expensive than single-magnification models. The new devices are designed to match the weight of Admetec's existing lightweight ergonomic loupes while offering the added functionality of variable magnification.
“We have solved these issues with a single loupe that is roughly the same weight as our current lightweight ergo loupes, with three easily adjustable magnifications, all for the same cost as a single magnification loupe,” says Ido Drory, CEO of Admetec.
Andau Medical says this capability is intended to improve both precision and posture for dental clinicians by reducing the need to reposition or strain during different types of procedures.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Ergo V and Ergo V Pro loupes to the North American market,” says Sandi Wright, CEO of Andau Medical. “We were among the first to launch ergonomic loupes in the North American market, and they have proven to be a complete game changer. Ergo V is the next major advancement in the loupes market and will quickly become the new standard of practice for all dentists.”
Admetec, which has been producing custom-fitted magnification loupes and LED headlights since 2006, distributes its products in over 70 countries. The company focuses on ergonomics, lightweight design, and ease of use.
