Dentsply Sirona has announced upgrades to its Primeprint 3D printing system, including faster manufacturing times for several applications and the introduction of an integrated nitrogen generator for its post-processing unit.
According to the company, the updated Primeprint system now offers increased print speeds for key applications, including splint materials (Primeprint Splint, Primeprint Splint SF, and Primeprint Splint ST), model production, and tray fabrication. The new capabilities reportedly allow nightguards to be printed in approximately 14 minutes—cutting print times nearly in half. This performance enhancement requires inLab CAM software to be connected to DS Core, Dentsply Sirona’s cloud-based digital dentistry platform.
In addition to software improvements, Dentsply Sirona has released the Primeprint Nitrogenerator, a new device designed to simplify post-processing by eliminating the need for external nitrogen bottles. According to the company, the Nitrogenerator provides a fully autonomous nitrogen supply to the Primeprint Post Processing Unit, reducing the need for manual handling and frequent refills. The integrated nitrogen flow is also intended to enhance the mechanical surface properties of printed parts, improving durability.
“Time is one of the most valuable resources in a dental practice. That’s why innovations like the latest speed upgrade for manufacturing and the new Primeprint Nitrogenerator are so impactful—they help teams work faster without compromising quality,” said Max Milz, group vice president of connected technology solutions at Dentsply Sirona. “All of our latest innovations are designed to support dental professionals to unlock the power of Connected Dentistry—developing smart, integrated solutions that grow their practice, enhance efficiency, and drive excellent outcomes. Primescan 2 is a great example—offering a flexible, intuitive starting point to add new treatments to your portfolio at your pace and design your own workflow to fit your preferences.”
The Primeprint Solution is part of Dentsply Sirona’s broader efforts to support digital integration in dental practices and laboratories.
