Evident has announced the release of EviSmart CaseEntry, a software module developed to automate case intake for dental laboratories. The module is designed to eliminate the need for manual case entry by connecting directly to a lab’s management software (LMS) and enabling real-time data syncing across platforms.
According to Evident, EviSmart CaseEntry automatically creates and updates cases as they are received, syncing prescription forms, scans, notes, and case statuses. For supported LMS platforms, the module offers bi-directional syncing, allowing updates made in either the lab management system or CaseEntry to be reflected instantly.
“Every manual touchpoint is a risk—of delay, error, or miscommunication,” stated Paolo Kalaw, CEO of Evident. “EviSmart CaseEntry removes that risk by syncing data in real time, so labs can work with greater speed, confidence, and control.”
The company stated that automating case intake reduces labor costs and administrative workload, enabling office staff to redirect time to other tasks. CaseEntry is also designed to minimize production delays by ensuring files such as scans and prescriptions are available and up to date.
EviSmart CaseEntry is available as a standalone module or bundled with other Evident tools, such as EviSmart Downloader. It can also be paired with EviSmart QC, an AI-based module that checks the quality and completeness of incoming scans and prescription data prior to production. Evident manages onboarding to configure the system based on lab-specific requirements, including scan quality control and prescription standards.
Evident develops a suite of digital workflow tools under the EviSmart platform, which includes modules for download automation, quality control, nesting, and other lab operations. According to the company, the goal of the platform is to improve collaboration and data flow between dental labs, practices, and manufacturers.
