Directa USA, the North American subsidiary of Directa Dental Group, has launched the 3Wedge Interdental Wood Wedges by Polydentia. According to the company, the product is designed to support improved clinical performance in Class II restorations by enhancing interdental separation and matrix band stability.
The wedges are made from birch wood and manufactured with a triangular cross-section. This geometry is intended to improve fit and support the positioning of matrix bands during restorative procedures. The design also includes rounded tips and a smooth surface to minimize soft tissue trauma.
Directa USA states that the birch wood material was selected for its pliability and resistance to splintering. The 3Wedge is available in four sizes — small, skinny, large, and jumbo — to accommodate a range of clinical situations. Assorted packs are also available to offer flexibility and convenience for practitioners.
The 3Wedge is available for purchase directly from Directa USA or through dental product distributors. Additional information is available at www.directausa.com.
