Dentsply Sirona has announced the upcoming U.S. launch of DS Core Diagnose features, which will be available for preview at DS World Las Vegas from September 26 to 28 at the MGM Grand. According to the company, these new features expand the diagnostic capabilities of the DS Core platform and are designed to simplify workflows and improve accessibility through cloud-based, AI-powered imaging tools.
The company states that DS Core Diagnose supports diagnostic and consultation phases of treatment and allows users to access Dentsply Sirona X-ray data from any device. This eliminates the need for local installations and reduces IT complexity by utilizing secure cloud storage.
“Connecting different technologies and simplifying their use is the north star of digital dentistry. Embedding AI in different workflows is essential to achieve this. With new diagnostic capabilities on DS Core such as AI-driven illustrations of anatomies we are taking a further step. And that’s just one of the innovations we will show at DS World Las Vegas. A further highlight will be integrations with solutions from other players,” says Max Milz, group vice president, connected technology solutions at Dentsply Sirona.
DS Core Diagnose will be available in the United States starting in early October. The company reports that dental practices using Dentsply Sirona imaging systems such as Orthophos or Axeos can unlock these features directly in DS Core. The platform supports features including Smart View, which enhances patient communication through AI-generated and CBCT-based illustrations of anatomical structures like teeth, bone, and nerve canals.
According to the company, key capabilities of DS Core Diagnose include the following:
-
AI-powered panoramic curve proposals.
-
Multi-device access, including treatment center displays, tablets, and workstations.
-
Combined viewing of X-rays, intraoral scans, and annotations in a unified Canvas.
-
Digital sharing of treatment plans and media with patients.
-
Remote access to imaging data from within or outside the practice.
-
Operatory-wide diagnostic tools such as measurements.
-
Secure cloud storage for imaging data to reduce reliance on local backups.
The company states that these features are intended to simplify the adoption of diagnostic tools, particularly for practices interested in integrating CBCT technology. DS Core Diagnose is positioned as an adaptable and cost-effective solution that does not require proprietary installed software.
For implantology, DS Core also enables expanded ordering options from service providers.
Dentsply Sirona reports that this launch is part of a broader effort to expand AI-powered clinical capabilities across its digital ecosystem, aimed at supporting practice growth, efficiency, and treatment outcomes.
