Pearl, a provider of dental artificial intelligence solutions, has been named an authorized integration vendor within the Henry Schein One API Exchange. This development allows users of Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend to access Pearl’s AI software suite directly within their existing practice management systems.
The integration aims to support clinical consistency, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making by embedding Pearl’s technology into platforms already familiar to many dental professionals. It also reflects Pearl’s stated commitment to interoperability and ethical integration practices within dental technology.
As part of the Henry Schein One API Exchange, Pearl joins a network of third-party developers working to improve workflow customization options for dental practices. The API Exchange program is designed to give practices the flexibility to tailor their digital tools according to individual operational needs, without compromising data security or workflow cohesion.
"At Henry Schein One, we're not just simplifying workflows, we're architecting the future of dental. We understand that dental teams thrive when empowered by seamlessly integrated technology. Welcoming Pearl to our API Exchange marks a significant leap forward,” said Alan Rencher, Chief Technology Officer, Henry Schein One. “Our Exchange isn't just an API platform; it's a dynamic ecosystem, the most robust engine of innovation in dentistry. We've curated a trusted network of premier technology partners to promote not just security, but also intuitive simplicity and unparalleled functionality. Together, we're enabling practices to move beyond mere efficiency, to unlock their full potential, allowing them to dedicate themselves to what truly matters: elevating patient care."
Pearl’s participation in the API Exchange ensures that its offerings—Second Opinion, Practice Intelligence, and Precheck—can be deployed while maintaining HIPAA compliance and adhering to best practices in patient data privacy and security.
The integration makes the following tools available to Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend users:
- Second Opinion: An FDA-cleared radiologic AI system that reviews intraoral X-rays in real time, highlighting potential findings to support diagnostic consistency and enhance patient communication with visual annotations.
- Practice Intelligence: A data analytics platform that identifies opportunities to improve care and production. It tracks treatment plan presentation and acceptance, benchmarks performance metrics across providers and locations, and supports data-driven decision-making in routine workflows.
- Precheck: A claims management tool that conducts automated documentation and coding reviews before submission, helping to reduce errors, minimize rework, and accelerate reimbursement timelines.
“We're thrilled to become part of the Henry Schein One API Exchange,” said Ophir Tanz, CEO of Pearl. “This partnership allows us to deliver a solution that enhances practice efficiency while integrating smoothly with Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend. We are committed to being a great partner, to integrating ethically and transparently, and to providing tools that help dental teams focus more on patient care.”
By participating in the API Exchange, Pearl aims to support a more connected, efficient, and clinically focused practice environment through the responsible use of AI and seamless integration with widely adopted dental software platforms.
