Dental.com, powered by Virtual Dental Care, has announced a partnership with Firstgrin to integrate virtual dental consultations into Firstgrin’s platform for parents of newborns. The collaboration is designed to expand access to professional dental guidance during the earliest stages of a child’s oral development.
Firstgrin offers baby oral care kits and an app that includes educational content and tools for tracking a child’s dental growth. With the integration of Dental.com’s services, users of the Firstgrin app will now be able to consult licensed dentists around the clock.
Parents using the app will be able to consult with licensed professionals for clinical guidance, upload images of their child’s mouth to monitor oral health trends, and receive advice during dental emergencies. Dental.com uses AI-powered technology to assess uploaded photos and flag potential issues early.
“Caring for a newborn is already overwhelming, and parents shouldn’t have to worry about whether they can reach a dentist when concerns arise,” said Richard Lee, co-founder and CEO at Dental.com. “By integrating our virtual dental services into Firstgrin’s trusted platform, we are empowering parents with accessible, reliable care whenever they need it most.”
The partnership is focused on establishing proactive habits for oral health from birth, with both organizations supporting early intervention and education as a means to long-term dental wellness.
“Firstgrin was founded on the belief that oral health starts at day one,” said Dr. Ashley Lerman, founder and CEO at Firstgrin. “By partnering with Dental.com, we’re ensuring that parents not only have the right tools at home but also expert, clinical support at their fingertips. This collaboration makes caring for a little one’s smile simpler, smarter, and more effective.”
According to Dental.com, its virtual platform offers live video consultations, AI-driven assessments of dental images, and tools for ongoing monitoring. The company’s services are also used by dental insurers including Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, and Humana.
Firstgrin provides families with customized oral care kits for babies, as well as educational resources delivered through its mobile app. The company aims to equip parents with both the tools and knowledge necessary to support early oral health routines.
