The Dentist Entrepreneur Organization (DEO) has partnered with Planet DDS to bring the Planet DDS Launchpad program to DEO’s more than 550 members, who collectively represent over 1,800 practice locations across the country. The collaboration integrates Launchpad into DEO’s member and coach framework, granting practices access to cost relief, expert support, and technology designed for scaling operations.
DEO’s mission is “to take dentists on the journey from clinicians to entrepreneurs to executives,” said Emmet Scott, CEO of DEO. “That path isn’t easy, and no one crosses it alone. Our role is to provide vision, education, and coaching, and to connect our members with innovation partners who bring the solutions that make growth possible. Launchpad is one of those solutions, offering the support and infrastructure that helps our members accelerate their transition into confident, capable leaders of thriving dental organizations.”
According to the companies, the agreement extends DEO’s suite of resources to include Launchpad’s offering of significant first-year cost reductions — reportedly up to 80 percent off practice management and imaging software — combined with a $1,000 credit toward implementation (through waiving the standard Planet DDS referral fee). DEO coaches will engage directly with participating members to assist onboarding, promote best practices, and speed adoption.
According to Planet DDS, the technology infrastructure available via Launchpad includes Denticon practice management with revenue cycle management, analytics, patient communication, and Apteryx Cloud Imaging with AI, all designed to scale as practices grow. The platform also offers tools meant to streamline scheduling, reduce administrative burden, and support smarter decisions. Early access to enterprise-level components is intended to help practices move away from disjointed systems to a unified platform, Planet DDS said.
Planet DDS CEO Eric Giesecke commented, “We share a deep commitment to helping growth-minded dental groups succeed, and with Launchpad, we’re focused on equipping these practices with the infrastructure, insights, and support they need to scale.” He emphasized that this partnership marks a new collaboration model between software providers and dental entrepreneur networks.
DEO describes itself as a community of dentists focused on group practice development, providing coaching, peer support, and content grounded in strategic growth. However, many of DEO’s practices are smaller, privately owned groups that face growing pains as they expand. Launchpad is designed to address those early-stage challenges. Through this alliance, DEO and Planet DDS aim to bridge the gap between clinical practice and organizational leadership.
