ClearChoice Dental Implant Center® has introduced First Look, an artificial intelligence-driven smile simulation tool aimed at supporting patient engagement prior to clinical consultation. The tool is designed to offer individuals a preview of potential smile outcomes before they visit a center, using a smartphone or webcam to generate a simulated result based on user input.
The simulation process consists of three steps: (1) Image Capture – Users upload or take a clear, well-lit selfie. (2) Personalization – A brief questionnaire collects information to tailor the simulation. (3) Preview – The tool provides a visual approximation of a potential dental implant outcome.
The goal of First Look is to increase accessibility and reduce psychological barriers for individuals considering dental implant therapy. According to ClearChoice, the tool may be particularly useful for patients who experience uncertainty or apprehension about treatment.
“For two decades, ClearChoice has led the effort to remove barriers to dental implant care,” said Rahma Samow, President & CEO of ClearChoice. “First Look continues that legacy by leveraging AI to demystify the path to treatment and help more patients move forward with confidence.”
Recent data suggests that nearly 20% of Americans avoid dental visits, often due to fear or perceived lack of control. ClearChoice states that providing a visual preview of treatment outcomes may help mitigate these concerns and facilitate earlier engagement in the care process.
“First Look gives patients a tangible glimpse of what's possible—and ClearChoice doctors bring that vision to life,” said Theresa Wang, DDS, MS, Chief Clinical & Development Officer at ClearChoice. “Many patients who come to us haven't seen themselves smile in years. First Look empowers them to take that first step toward transforming their lives.”
