Dr. Paul Feuerstein received the Lifetime Dental Innovator Award during the second annual Dental VIP Summit, an invitation-only event that brings together dental industry leaders, clinicians, and investors to discuss developments in oral health innovation.
The award was presented by longtime colleagues Marty Jablow and John Flucke. Organizers said the recognition highlights Dr. Feuerstein’s decades of work helping dentists understand and adopt emerging technologies related to clinical care, diagnostics, and practice workflow.
"Paul’s vision and relentless curiosity have helped shape dental technology we use today and into the future,” said Dr. Jablow. “This Lifetime Achievement Award is a testament to his innovation, leadership, and unwavering commitment to advancing our profession.”
Dr. Feuerstein, editor-in-chief of Dentistry Today, has spent much of his career focused on dental technology education through writing, lectures, video interviews, and evaluations of new technologies. His work has addressed the adoption of digital dentistry tools and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence.
“My friendship with Paul extends back over thirty years,” reflected Dr. Flucke. “For the entire time I've known him, he’s been ahead of the curve. His knowledge and dedication to the dental tech revolution makes him the standard bearer that the rest of us strive to keep up with.”
In accepting the award, Dr. Feuerstein discussed the role that technology has played throughout his career.
“I am truly humbled to receive this award. My career has been driven by a curiosity about new technology and a desire to share what I learn with colleagues in dentistry. The real reward has always been seeing those ideas translate into better care for patients—both in my own practice and in the practices of dentists who continue to embrace innovation.”
The Dental VIP (Venture, Innovation & Partnering) Summit was created as a forum for collaboration among entrepreneurs, investors, clinicians, and industry executives focused on oral health innovation. According to organizers, the program highlights emerging technologies in digital dentistry, artificial intelligence, diagnostics, and the integration of oral health within the broader healthcare ecosystem while providing a setting to evaluate new solutions and discuss investment and development across the dental sector.
