The fabrication of implant-supported prosthetic restorations often requires significant manual adjustment when using conventional denture teeth, which can affect efficiency and fit accuracy. The VITA VIONIC DENT DISC multiColor is aimed at addressing this challenge, and as of February 2026, is also approved for CAD/CAM-assisted fabrication of dental components for fixed implant dentures on supporting frameworks made of titanium, cobalt-chromium, zirconia, and PEEK.
The expanded indications broaden the clinical applications of the polychromatic, highly cross-linked composite disc, which is manufactured using the VITA Microfiller Reinforced Polymer Matrix (MRP) material also used in VITA Premium denture teeth.
With the updated indications, dental laboratories and clinicians can use the material not only for removable partial and full dentures, but also for the fabrication of precisely fitting tooth elements designed for integration with implant-supported framework structures. The digital workflow enables controlled layer thicknesses and more uniform bonding gaps for fixed implant restorations.
The expanded use of the composite disc provides additional restorative options for implant-supported prostheses in both functional and esthetic cases. Compatibility with multiple framework materials may allow users to select combinations suited to specific clinical requirements and laboratory preferences.
The inorganically filled, highly cross-linked PMMA material is designed to provide abrasion resistance and polishing properties suitable for long-term prosthetic use. Its integrated shade gradient supports esthetic integration, particularly in anterior restorations. The material is compatible with standard milling systems and can be processed within established CAD/CAM workflows.
