Dental Tech Hub (DTH) has launched a new AI-powered platform designed to help dental practices evaluate and select technology based on their individual clinical and operational needs. The platform features an AI advisor named Mola, which enables users to describe practice challenges in plain language and receive recommendations from a curated database of more than 500 dental technology vendors.
According to a press release from the company, the platform was developed by dentists to address the growing complexity of technology purchasing in dental practices. Rather than requiring users to search by product category, Mola allows practices to begin with a specific operational problem, such as patient cancellations or workflow inefficiencies. It can then recommend technologies that align with the practice's software environment, size, and day-to-day operations.
Khamir Patel, DMD, co-founder and chief executive officer of Dental Tech Hub, said the platform was developed after years of observing technology implementations that failed because the selected products were not well matched to individual practice needs. At launch, Dental Tech Hub offers three primary features: problem-based search, AI-generated recommendations built on the company's "hand-classified" vendor database, and one-click scheduling for product demonstrations through standardized vendor profiles.
The company also announced the release of its 2026 State of Dental Technology report, which examines how dental practices evaluate and purchase technology. The report is available at no cost through the company's website.
Rohan Shah, DMD, co-founder of Dental Tech Hub and owner of six dental practices, said the platform was created to provide an independent alternative to technology marketplaces where product visibility may be influenced by commercial relationships. According to the company, vendor placement on Dental Tech Hub is based on relevance to a practice's needs rather than paid promotion, and the platform does not accept payment for placement.
Dental Tech Hub is available at no cost for dental practices at dentaltechhub.com.
