Each year, dental professionals gather in New York City for the Greater New York Dental Meeting, a tradition dating back many decades. At the 2024 edition of the event — the 100th annual, held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center — the latest technology for the dental profession was on display.
In all, according to meeting organizers, more than 1,600 technical exhibits were presented on the convention hall floor. Midmark, a family-owned business based in Versailles, Ohio, was one of them. During the four days that the exhibit hall was open, Midmark turned part of its booth on the show floor into a “Sterilization Bar,” offering attendees the chance to view some of the latest in instrument processing technology.
Product experts from Midmark were on hand to provide demonstrations, to answer questions, and to talk about how their line of next-generation steam sterilizers, the M9 and M11, can enhance safety, efficiency, and durability in dental practices. According to the company, key features of the units include a 5-inch touchscreen for ease of use, digital tools for record-keeping compliance, and durability. The sterilizers are ideal for dental teams seeking seamless, CDC-compliant workflows, the company says.
The units were introduced by Midmark in 2024. “Effective instrument processing starts with dependable equipment and a simple, standardized workflow,” Michael Couch, marketing director at Midmark Dental,” said in a press release. “Next generation Midmark M9 and M11 Steam Sterilizers are designed with dental clinicians in mind, providing durability, automation, and easy-to-use operation to help deliver safe, efficient care.”
