NEW YORK, May 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, NexHealth unveiled a new, API-level integration with Dentrix - the popular and widely-used dental practice management software. With this announcement, doctors who rely on both services will experience immediate improvements, as the technologies begin to exchange patient and appointment information securely and seamlessly.
NexHealth - a patient relationship management suite trusted by doctors across the country - is used by many healthcare practices to complement their EHR and practice management software. The integration with Dentrix is expected to simplify officework and improve business management for these practices.
"This integration is crucial for us," said Dr. Daniel Noor, the head of a 11 provider dental practice in New York City. "Patients booking online via NexHealth see our up-to-date practice calendar - and when they book, the appointment details are automatically carried over into Dentrix. It's completely seamless."
NexHealth is used by providers like Dr. Daniel Noor for automated email and text message communications, digital appointment reminders, one-touch appointment booking, and other features that improve patient engagement and retention. Dentrix is the world's leading practice management service provider, offering digital tools for business management, clinical efficiency, billing and collections, and other paperless practice solutions.
This integration is the latest in a recent push NexHealth has made toward interoperability. On March 15th, the NYC-based company announced a similar partnership with Electronic Health Records system drchrono.
"We believe that interoperability is the way of the future," said Alamin Uddin, CEO and founder of NexHealth. "The health tech landscape is incredibly fragmented. But when forward-looking organizations collaborate, we can make doctors' lives easier and improve health outcomes for patients. That's an effort we're proud to be part of."
